+ Osorio’s four goals lead FPC past Pierson Taylor
Forward Johnny Osorio netted four goals, leading the Flagler Palm Coast boys soccer team to an 8-1 rout of Pierson Taylor on Tuesday night.

Steven Dack scored two goals and Matthew Cabral and Danevsky Joseph each scored one.

FPC outshot Pierson Taylor, 17-9. Keeper Austin Davis collected seven saves.

FPC (12-1-1) will finish the season with three away games (Nease, Ocoee and Buchoolz) before being the No. 1 seed in the District 2-5A tournament in two weeks.

 

+ Tsabak scores 27, Pirates beat Seabreeze in OT
Matanzas rallied from a first-quarter deficit Tuesday night to defeat Seabreeze in overtime, 57-54.
Senior Ivan Tsabak led the Pirates with a season-high 27 points to go along with seven rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist. Tsabak went 4-for-6 from behind the 3-point line.

Matanzas (3-12) will travel to play Deltona 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14.

+ Fat Cats win Flagler Dek Hockey winter season
The Fat Cats were crowned as the champions of the fall/winter Flagler Dek Hockey season, defeating the Whalers, 8-3.

The Fat Cats won the regular season and then defeated the Scorpions in the seminfals, 4-1. The Whalers defeated the Assassins, 3-1, in the other semifinal matchup.

Ryan Gillespie, of the Fat Cats, led all scorers in the playoffs with four goals and four assists — a total of eight points.

Fat Cats goalie Matt Wentworth had 38 saves out of 42 shots — a 90.5 save percentage.

+ Palm Coast Little League registration now open; player evaluations: Jan. 19
Registration for Palm Coast Little League will take place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, and Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Indian Trails Sports Complex. Registration will also be online at www.pcllonline.com or at Pro Sports Plus, located at 1070 Palm Coast Parkway N.W.

Cost is $65 and includes hat, pants, T-shirt and socks. Second child costs $55 and third child costs $35. Softball is $40.

Evaluations for players will be Saturday, Jan. 19, at Indian Trails Sports Complex. Times for divisions will be posted at www.pcllonline.com and announced on the Palm Coast Little League’s Facebook page.
Opening Day is 9 a.m. March 2.
