Play ball: Golden Spikes start spring season
The Ormond Beach Golden Spikes will report to spring season Jan. 26, with opening ceremonies beginning 1 p.m., before first pitch for all games at 2 p.m., at the Nova Community Park fields.
Before it's too late: Sign up for baseball, softball
Registration for youth spring baseball and softball ends Jan. 25, for children between the ages of 5 and 17.
Fees for residents range from $45 to $60, and $68 to $90 for nonresidents, with sibling discounts available. Proof of residency is required, and there is a $5 late fee for registration after Jan. 25, pending availability on teams.

Registration for Ormond Beach recreational league soccer is currently open and will run through Feb. 10, for boys and girls ages 4-17.
Practices will begin at the end of February, with games continuing into May.
Ormond Beach residents pay $60 per child, and nonresidents pay $100 per child. A late registration period will run from Feb. 10-17, for an additional $25 per child.
