The victim collided into a tree and was thrown from his motorcycle.

A Pompano Beach man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Old Dixie Highway Saturday.
Rene Meigs, 25, was traveling northbound, near Pumphouse Road, at a high rate a speed, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, when he passed a northbound vehicle in the southbound lane. He then tried to pass another vehicle in the northbound lane when he lost control and his vehicle overturned.
Meigs’ motorcycle collided into a tree on the west-side shoulder of the road, and he was ejected from the motorcycle, coming to rest in the roadside grass.
