Not So Sweet Revenge
8:47 a.m. — First Block of Freneau Lane. Criminal Mischief. A deputy responded to a home in reference to a criminal mischief complaint. A male homeowner stated at approximately 3:30 a.m. his property was vandalized by another man. The homeowner stated the man was staying at his residence until he was kicked out a couple days ago due to an argument.
The homeowner stated he witnessed the man outside his residence smearing something into the screens of the house. The homeowner stated the man was wearing all black and was able to identify him. The homeowner decided to wait to call law enforcement until the morning.
There appeared to be yellow mustard sprayed on the side of the residence as well as a brown substance which the homeowner believed to be fecal matter smeared on several screens of the house, the handles of his motorcycle and the door handles of his SUV. There was also a large scratch down the rear side door of the SUV.
The homeowner completed a written statement and photographs were taken. The location of the suspect is unknown at this time.

Following Bad Directions
3:27 a.m. First Block of Fawn Lane. Burglary - Residential. A deputy responded to a call in reference to someone possibly attempting to break into a residence. While responding to the call, a female advised she heard what sounded like someone banging on the front left window and tampering with the screen.
Upon arrival, the deputy witnessed a man standing in front of the window with both hands on it appearing to tamper with the screen.
At that time, the deputy used loud verbal commands to identify himself.
The man immediately fled on foot in a northern direction. The deputy commanded the man to stop several times, but he continued fleeing on foot, changing directions Eastward toward the rear of the house. The deputy then withdrew his department issued X-26 Taser and discharged it at the man in an attempt to stop him, with both probes missing the man. The man once again changed his direction of travel South toward a shed in the fenced back yard. Changing directions again to the West, the deputy continued to pursue the man to a back alley that was blocked by a metal gate, allowing him to be placed into custody.
Contact was made with the female and she confirmed the screen had been tampered with. The man advised that he traveled to the residence after a party. The man stated his intention was to try to speak with the female but advised she had not invited him to the residence or spoken to her. The man admitted to tampering with the screen but advised he was moving it to knock on the window.
Upon speaking with the female, she was familiar with the man but had not spoken to or invited him to the residence. The man was placed under arrest for attempted burglary of an occupied dwelling and resisting arrest without violence. The vehicle he drove to the area was towed from its location up the street.
