The Supreme Court of Florida on June 27 denied Williams Gregory’s death-penalty appeal for the 2007 murder of his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.
“After a thorough review of all the issues raised by Gregory, and after and independent review of the sufficiency of the evidence and the proportionality of the sentences, we affirm Gregory’s convictions for first-degree murder, burglary, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and we also affirm the sentences of death,” the Supreme Court ruling states.
Gregory was convicted in March 2011 for killing Skyler Meekins and Dan Dyer as the two slept in a Flagler Beach home on the night of Aug. 21, 2007.
On April 14, 2011, Gregory was sentenced to death for both counts of first-degree murder.
Gregory can still appeal at the federal level.
