Stops one kind of criminal but invites another
8:55 a.m. First Block of Zerington Court. Stolen Vehicle.
A caller advised that someone had taken his vehicle without permission.

The victim parked the car outside of his neighbor’s residence the night before because the neighbors were out of town and it gave the impression that someone was home. He remembered seeing the car at 11 p.m. before he went to bed, but at 8 a.m. the next day, the white Dodge Intrepid had been taken from that location. At 9:55 a.m., Flagler County Dispatch advised they had received three calls matching about a suspicious vehicle matching the description of the victim’s car. The vehicle was confirmed as the victim’s Intrepid and had no damage to it. The victim believes his girlfriend left the keys in the car and the passenger side door unlocked.

While the deputy was talking with the defendant, he noticed a clear plastic bag on the front grill of one of the vehicles parked in the driveway. Inside the bag was marijuana. The defendant stated he did not know who it belonged to or who placed it on the vehicle.

The purse was gray with a cross checkered design, which cost $30. Inside the purse were three gift cards (American Express $30, Fandango $25, and an unknown card for $20), a School ID and a bank account booklet. The damage to the vehicle is $200.
