Sporadic rainfall on Saturday pushed back play in the U15 District 13 PAL All-Stars tournament, at the Flagler County Fairgrounds.

But by Sunday morning, the South Daytona All-Stars were crowned champions, topping Flagler, 3-1, in the finals.

Flagler edged out Sanford, 14-12, in its first-round game. Then on Saturday, rain and lightning pushed back Flagler’s second-round game against South Daytona by about two hours. South Daytona eventually won.

Flagler then beat Sanford in an elimination game for the second time in three games.

South Daytona headed into the finals undefeated, and because the tournament was double-elimination format, Flagler would have needed to win twice on Sunday.
