Caffeine Bistro: Pardon our dust
Caffeine Bistro & Wine Bar started as an art-inspired coffee shop. But after eight years, things have a habit of changing.
In addition to currently renovating the entire indoor portion of the restaurant (the newly roofed, outdoor tiki bar is open and unaffected by the indoor construction), Caffeine, at 49 W Granada Blvd., is now open seven days a week, and is now serving lunch. Happy hour is 3-7 p.m. daily and all day Monday.

New members to the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce, as of June, are listed as follows
Agave Fresh Mex Inc.
American Services Termite & Pest Control
Ormond Lanes
The Plaza Ocean Club Hotel
Steve Harper Painting Inc.
The chamber is also hosting two marketing seminars, led by the Oliver Group, July 31 and Aug. 1 — and participants of the drive will have a chance to win a new TV. Participation in the two-hour drive requires submission of a list of friends and business associates who might benefit from a chamber membership. Call 677-3454.
The chamber’s second-annual King of the Grill competition is coming up at the end of next month, as well, and 75 volunteers are needed to help out. The chamber is looking for 13 volunteers to help set up, from 8 a.m. to noon; 12 volunteers to help pack up, from 7-10 p.m.; and 50 volunteers to operate booths. Community service letters will be provided to any student or youth group member who requests them. Volunteers will also receive a free shirt, lunch and a drink.
The event will be Sept. 28, at Rockefeller Gardens Park.
Avon representative honored with Hawaii trip
Avon Products Inc. sent Ormond Beach representative Beatrice Aglione to Hawaii for a week-long trip, after recognizing her among the company’s nationwide top salespeople.
The trip was awarded at Avon’s annual President’s Recognition Program Celebration.
"Beatrice embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that has been at the heart of Avon for all these years," said Angelo Rossi, group vice president of Avon North America Sales.
The six-day, five-night trip ended June 26, and during the trip, the winners went on guided tours of Honolulu’s beaches and historic sites, such as Pearl Harbor, as well as attended luaus and galas.
