Just out having a nice loiter
12:34 a.m. First Block of Woodstone Lane. Loiter/Prowling.
A call was made to advise dispatch that there was a man wearing a green hat in the backyard of the above residence. The call further advised deputies that the man continued to move toward the door even though he did observe people moving around inside the home.
Upon arrival, deputies advanced toward the rear of the residence, and the defendant began to walk briskly away, toward the wood line. The defendant was ordered to stop, which he did; however, he did not show his hands after being ordered to do so multiple times.
Once asked what he was doing behind the residence, he refused to answer and remained silent. Since the defendant was not able to explain his presence, he was placed under arrest for loitering/prowling. When asked if he had any weapons, narcotics, or any illegal substances on his person, he continued to remain silent, and no contraband was located.
The defendant was then transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility without incident.
During the intake process, deputies located a small, hand-rolled “roach” containing a green, leafy, substance, which was later confirmed to be marijuana.
Can I take a message?
10:20 a.m. First Block of Beacon Mill Lane. Larceny.
Upon attempting to make a landline phone call, the victim called her telephone service provider to schedule a service appointment. After a walk around the residence, the victim soon found out that her telephone box was missing.
Once a deputy arrived, it was clear that the telephone wires had been cut from the box but were still attached to the residence. No visible physical evidence was observed, and the box was unable to be located anywhere near the residence.
