Ocean Hammock Community Outreach partnered with Hammock Wine and Cheese Shoppe Wednesday, July 17, to host a benefit for the Flagler Resource Center food bank. Hammock Uncorked invited the community to taste wine for a $10 donation, all of which went right back into the fund for the food bank.
The group adopted the Flagler Resource Center as its charity based on the philosophy of "people helping people" within the Flagler community.
For shop owner Steve Gallagher, the partnership was an opportunity to share his wine expertise with a new variety of customers and also to give back.
“It’s great for me that they think of my place as a place they can have events,” Gallagher said. “It really draws the community from all directions.”
