This weekend: Flagler Fine Arts Festival

The Flagler Fine Arts Festival will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach. The festival, which focuses on fine arts rather than arts and crafts, is held every third Sunday of the month. This is the final festival of the season.

Some of the featured season artists include J.J. Graham, Linda Solomon, Onicas Gaddis and Herold Backmann. The festival also features new artists each month as well as performing artists. For more, visit www.flaglerfineartfest.com.
 

Humane Society expands events to surrounding areas
The July Flagler Humane Society Yappy Hour will be held just south of the Flagler County line at Lagerheads, in Ormond Beach. The event, which will be 6-8 p.m. July 23,will feature live music by Ed Wolford and is $10.

The Flagler Humane Society will also join First Coast No More Homeless Pets, the Best Friends Animal Society among other organizations in Jacksonville for an adoption event July 26-28. Adoption fees will be $25 for all pets, and free for those with a military ID.

FTI to host open house
Flagler Technical Institute will host an open house 4-7 p.m. Aug. 1, at the Flagler Technical Institute’s Career & Technical facility, 1 Corporate Drive.

Staff will be available to give visitors a guided tour of the facilities, which will include health science labs, five computer labs and cosmetology facials and nails.

The school is introducing several new programs this year, including applied cyber security, technology support services, administrative office specialist, water treatment technology, and waste water treatment technology.
