April Nugent was taking a morning stroll through Bailey Riverbridge Gardens, along the pier and under the Halifax River Bridge, when she saw a sunrise she just had to capture on film.
“Every time I walk the bridge and the four corner parks and gardens, I am amazed of the beauty that surrounds us here in Ormond,” Nugent said. “It's impossible to be bored by the scenery, and variations in time only vary the beauty and scenery that surrounds me. On this particular morning walk, it was peaceful and the dawn was spectacular. Scenes like this make me proud to live here in this very special place, where just a simple walk can be so amazing.”

Casements Camera Club member Debbie LeCrone couldn’t help but snap a shot of an old house she came across on Orchard Lane.
“I’m sure this house is over 100 years old, and (it) still looks quaint,” she said. “(It) is just north of the old Ormond Hotel.”
Color my world: Photographer catches painter at work
On an evening jog over the Halifax River Bridge, Jimmy Langan stumbled by a sight he doesn’t normally see during his exercise routine.
“I came across this local artist deep in concentration on a beautiful painting,” he said. “I snapped this photo but did not get his name. He is very talented and I felt he should be recognized!"
