The slip
12:26 p.m. — 200 Block of Yonge Street. Animal bite. The victim was on her front porch with her small pug when a younger male walked by with a black and white pit bull. When the pit bull saw the pug, though, it slipped out of its collar.
It charged at the pug, but the victim shielded it, receiving "what appears to be a non-skin breaking claw scratch" on her arm," according to reports.
The victim told police she didn’t know where the boy lived but that her husband might.
In-store stiff-arm
1:29 p.m. — 100 Block of Nova Road. Simple or aggravated assault. The victim was in the back of the store, she told police, when she heard a gradually increasing female voice.
The victim walked to the front and saw the defendant yelling about someone stealing the ring off her key chain. She said no one had stolen anything, but the keys were set aside, ringless.
The defendant continued to yell, and the victim told her she needed to either lower her voice or leave. That's when the defendant shoved the victim in the face, then she left the store when the victim said she was calling the police.
The incident was recorded on the store’s surveillance camera. Police were able to identify the woman from her vehicle’s license plate.
