Like a bullet in a Chinese shop
6:38 p.m. — 100 Block of Williamson Boulevard. Found property. An woman called the Ormond Beach Police Department because she found a bullet in a restaurant parking lot.
A police officer made contact with her at her home, where he collected the “Federal brand .45 auto full metal jacket bullet,” which she said she found near the takeout entrance.
The bullet was placed in the police department’s explosives locker, according to reports.
No shoes, no shorts, no problem
10:39 p.m. — Intersection of Capri Drive and Ridgewood Avenue. Vandalism of county property. A male, wearing only black shorts, knocked down a stop sign, a witness told police.
The suspect, according to reports, was seen tearing down the sign then walking northbound on Ridgewood Avenue to the residence on Capri Drive.
The responding officers searched the area for the suspect, but were only able to find a pair of black shorts on the ground near where the suspect was last seen. The shorts contained $1.25 in quarters. The shorts and the currency was placed into evidence.
