Cops Corner: Thief, shoplifter, fisherman

June 7
TV, safe, weapons, cash, clothes, jewelry 
1:26 a.m. — First Block of Boxwood Lane. Burglary.
A man and his wife went to Daytona Beach for a night out, and once they returned home, they found their garage door wide open. As the husband entered the house, he found multiple items thrown around.The 42-inch TV was missing from the master bedroom, and the safe was missing from the master closet. The safe contained multiple weapon magazines, multiple rounds and $6,500 cash. Several of the couple's clothes and jewelry were missing from the closet as well.

We're going to need a bigger purse ...
3:03 p.m. — 4900 Block of Belle Terre Parkway. Shoplifting.
A woman was stopped by a local supermarket’s loss prevention officer for shoplifting. He witnessed the woman select different items and place them in her large purse before passing all points of sale without paying. The items included salami, bologna, frozen fruit bars and other food products. The total for the items before tax was $38.82.

June 9
No shirt, one sandal, no problem
6:02 a.m. — 100 Block of Patchogue Lane. Motor Vehicle Larceny.
A man reported that he saw two juvenile white males inside his 1997 Ford F-150. The juvenile males were wearing black shorts with no shirt. When he approached them, they both ran. Nothing was taken from the truck, but they had gone through the center console. The man then gave the deputy a black sandal with a marijuana leaf and "one love" written on the sandal.

June 10
Never met a metal he didn't like
10 a.m. — 100 Block of Palm Coast Parkway. Larceny.
A man reported at the Palm Coast substation that his 25-pound aluminum skid plate, aluminum bell housing, and aluminum patio chair were taken from his driveway next to his garage. The estimated cost of the items is $525. 

Gone stealing ... then, gone fishing
7:18 p.m. — First Block of Cris Lane. Residential Burglary.
A man reported that miscellaneous fishing gear and his boat key were missing from his dresser drawer, and the box containing a fish-finder was missing from the shelf in the garage. The man also noticed the house key was missing from the self and a garage door opener was in its place. The responding deputy noted that there are many items of value not taken and the house was not ransacked.
