Why did the gator cross the road?
11:03 a.m. Southbound off ramp of Palm Coast Parkway. Animal Problem.
A deputy was advised that an alligator had been run over on the westbound lane of Palm Coast Parkway. Upon arrival, the deputy found a bystander dangling the alligator by the tail on the shoulder of the road. The alligator was alive and appeared to be suffering from the injuries it sustained from being hit by a car. Due to the officer unable to have a trapper respond to salvage the animal, he was advised to put the animal down.

Insisting transportation
1:44 p.m. First Block of Bird of Paradise Drive. Animal Bite.
A deputy responded to a call where a woman explained her son needed medical attention for a dog bite.
The deputy observed the juvenile smiling and appeared to be fine. He then inquired where the dog had bitten the boy, which was on the boy’s left leg and right hand. Emergency personnel arrived and advised the mother that her son’s injuries were minor, not life-threatening, and that he did not require medical transport.
Despite this information, the mother still requested medical transport.
However, she changed her mind and transported her son to Florida Hospital Flagler herself.

A woman who owns the home now resides in Jacksonville, but her ex-husband checks on the house. When he showed up to the home for a visit, he found the door was open. The woman drove down to see if anything was missing. Nothing was, but the air conditioning was on and there was a blanket on the couch that did not belong to her. The house seemed to have someone living in it without the owner’s knowledge. Although nothing in the house was missing, the owner’s 1999 Chrysler 300M was missing from the garage. The vehicle is valued at $2,000. The neighbors could not provide any additional information.
