Beans were not only jumping, but shaking, twisting and laughing, too, at the Ormond Beach Regional Library's weekly preschool fitness program, for kids ages 3-6, Thursday, June 27,
Led by librarians Susan Perry and Kathryn Miller, the half-hour guided kids and their parents through elaborate workout routines, such as shaking the sillies out, doing the airplane, stretching like a giraffe, dancing and spinning with colorful scarves — all to the tune of upbeat children’s music.
Intended to get kids off the coach, the day featured jams, jumping, marching and lots of other exercises aimed at teaching kids that being active isn’t just good for them, but it can also be fun.
Story time follows the weekly Jumping Bean program, at 11 a.m.
