Volusia County has lifted the mandatory evacuation order for all residents in Ormond Beach.
The Durrance Fire, according to the Florida Forest Service, has now reached 1,100 acres and remains 75% contained, which is the same containment level as approximately 8 p.m. Saturday, when it was estimated at 1,000 acres.
The Florida Forest Service said winds, forecasted at 15 to 20 mph sustained and 25 mph gusts, still remain a factor and could help spread the fire.
The firefighting force, which was said to be 100 Saturday, has now increased to 130, and includes firefighters from Volusia and Flagler County, the Florida Forest Service and local cities.
The cut lines are being widened to 20 to 30 feet, the Florida Forest Service said, to allow brush trucks to get through the area and fight the fire.
Authorities are urging people who need to drive through the area to give fire and rescue vehicles the right of way.
