After a week-long lesson on bicycle safety, the VPK students at Indian Trails were able to put their foot to the pedal on Friday for a trike-a-thon. The day not only allowed students to put what they have learned into action, but it also served as a fundraiser for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which raised $1,405.
“It’s a fun day, but it’s teaching them things about safety and about sharing and doing things for someone else,” said Joannie Davis, Indian Trails program manager.
