Flagler Palm Coast High School juniors Melissa Boyles and Mike LoCastro recently traveled to Florida State College at Jacksonville, to attend the Florida Department of Juvenile Justices Roadmap to System Excellence Town Hall meeting with DJJ Secretary Wansley Walters.

For years Boyles has participated as a volunteer defense attorney for Flagler County Teen Court, under the direction of Marian Irvin. LoCastro has been an active member of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Explorers, preparing him to pursue a career in law enforcement. Earlier this year, both were invited to participate on Circuit 7’s Juvenile Justice Board, as youth representatives, by Chairwoman Cheryl Massaro.
