Checks and Lower Balances
11:33 a.m. — First block of Claymont Court. Fraud. A woman reported that she was checking her bank account and discovered that her Social Security check had not been deposited into her account. The woman stated that she contacted the Social Security office and was advised that someone had rerouted her $1,763.40 check.
The woman was informed that the account was opened in her name with two deposits in the amount of $1,832.40 and $2,025.40.
Going Postal
11:48 a.m. — First block of Roxboro Lane. Larceny. A woman stated her neighbor informed her on Feb. 8 that they found her mail in the street. The woman stated that she suspects kids in the area. The woman decided to obtained a post office box.
Feb. 16
Tag, You’re It
3:02 p.m. — 5000 block of State Road 100. Stolen tag. A man stated he parked his father’s sedan in the parking lot behind the restaurant where he works. At approximately 2 p.m., the man stated he arrived to pick up the vehicle and observed the tag was missing. The man stated he asked his coworkers if they had observed anything, and one friend stated he thought the tag was on the car when he arrived at work.
The owner of the vehicle arrived on the scene and stated he did not want to report the tag missing. There are no security cameras looking into the area. No leads at this time.
