Who lost their cocaine?
1:54 p.m. — Intersection of Center Street and Division Avenue. Miscellaneous. An Ormond Beach police officer was called to the location in reference to a small, green bag, which a community service officer found on the ground.
There was white powder in the bag, which the police officer determined was cocaine, according to the report, “by using a Lynn Peavey text kit.”
The bag was placed in evidence, and will be checked for fingerprints.
March 9
Better safe than soggy
6:32 p.m. — 800 Block of Airport Road. Disturbance. An Ormond Beach man didn't like the way his girlfriend was talking to another man at a bar, according to reports, and they started arguing.
On the way to their cars, along with the man and another person, the argument continued and became heated near a small pond. According to the report, the man and his girlfriend fell into the pond “due to the darkness,” however, the officer noted there was no violence or threats of violence made.
The Ormond Beach man lost his keys in the pond and called a friend to pick him up.
