As the bidding price continued to soar on a dinner for four cooked by Certified Master Chef Jason Hall, so did the emotions Saturday, March 9, at the second-annual Flagler Habitat for Humanity Dressed to a Tea Fashion Show. The bidding closed out at $1,250, which was just a portion of the approximatly $8,000 raised.
The fundraiser, which featured homeowners as the stars of the show, was held at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, in Flagler Beach.
Two homeowners, three future homeowners and three children of homeowners modeled fashions from Chico’s, White House Black Market and JCPenney.
“Habitat means so much to me,” said Sierra Posella, who moved into her family’s new home last May. “I helped paint my own room. What I like best about Habitat is that when you buy and build your own house, you help other families buy a house, too.”
