An 18-year-old Palm Coast woman was arrested Thursday evening for aggravated battery on a person over 65 following a disagreement with her grandmother.
Mary Lee, 80, told deputies that around 5:38 p.m., her granddaughter, Jestina Lee, 18, of 45 Rockefeller Drive, pushed her outside a shed which was located in the backyard of the grandmother.
Mary Lee said when the incident occurred she had walked outside to see what the teenager was doing in the shed. She told deputies that when she questioned Jestina, the younger woman pushed her in the chest area with both hands, causing the elder Lee to fall backward over a chair and on to the ground. She declined medical attention and filed the complaint.
The teenager left the scene when she was alerted that deputies were responding. She was arrested about four hours later when she returned to the home.
The teen was booked into the Flagler County Detention Facility where she was being held Friday on $1,000 bond.
