Story time at Divine Treasures this weekend was not the norm. Instead of just listening to “Green Eggs and Ham,” children were able to interact by learning sign language for words used in the story.

Kelly Zwirn, certified baby sign language instructor, partnered with the resale store for a signing story time.

"It's such a neat thing for babies to learn — it helps a lot with communication," said Aimee Kirksey, store owner.

Prior to certification, Zwirn had alredy been signing with her own children. She wanted to share the benefits of signing with other children in Palm Coast.
