Case of the shirtless shouters
9:50 p.m. — 300 Block of Center Street. Disturbance. An Ormond Beach police officer arrived on scene to find three shirtless males, yelling at a woman in her car.
The officer diffused the situation and found that the commotion stemmed from a fighting couple, who said that the dispute hadn't turned physical. They agreed to part ways for the rest of the night.

Catching a bicycle thief
6:12 p.m. — 300 Block of Granada Boulevard. Bicycle theft. In an effort to catch the person who stole his bicycle the day before, an Ormond Beach man rode a “crappy” bicycle to the same location in order to use it as “bait,” according to reports.
He left the bicycle just as he had the day before, he told police, and then went inside to talk to a friend who works at the store. A suspicious male walked past the entrance doors to the bicycle, hopped on it, then rode it away.
The man chased the suspect, but was unsuccessful in catching him. Police searched the area for a man matching the description, but were unsuccessful. The man said his bicycle was valued at $20.
