A man says he was run over by his ex-girlfriend; and, the marijuana man gets a call home to the parental units.

Call back when you’re sober
4:42 a.m. — 500 Block of Shadow Lakes Boulevard. Suspicious incident. An Ormond Beach man was run over by his ex-girlfriend’s car, he told police.
The responding officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on the man when he approached him in the parking lot. The man and his ex-girlfriend both told police they were in a verbal argument and then she got into her car to leave.
However, she told police he tried to grab the door handle to stop the car, then fell. She didn't back the car into him, she said, and was supported by a witness.
No arrests were made. The man wanted to go to the hospital, and police told him he could call when he was sober if he wanted to press charges.

10:17 p.m. — 200 Block of Halifax Drive. Narcotics. The defendant failed to stop at a stop sign, and an Ormond Beach police officer initiated a traffic stop.
The officer reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from the driver’s window when he approached the vehicle. The driver admitted to smoking a “roach” and to having some marijuana under his seat, according to reports.
The officer found two mason jars, one full and the other 1/4 full of marijuana, in addition to a digital scale, a box of plastic baggies and a “marijuana bowl.”
The defendant was arrested and the vehicle was turned over to his parents, who were called to the scene.
