Convicted: Zachary Holloway
Zachary Holloway, of Daytona Beach, was convicted March 21, in the shooting of Ernest Minton last April near an Ormond Beach home.
The jury took one hour to deliberate before finding Holloway guilty on a charge of principal to aggravated battery with a firearm. Sentencing is scheduled for May 1, when Holloway could face up to 30 in prison.

The city and the Motor Racing Heritage Association will dedicate the 1904 Ormond Garage Replica 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Birthplace of Speed Park, at the corner of A1A and Granada boulevard.
City Commissioner Bill Partington and City Manager Joyce Shanahan traveled to Tallahassee March 20, for Volusia Day 2013. The annual event allows city officials to meet with state representatives, as well as attend house and senate committee meetings.
The Parks Division of the Leisure Services Department added extra pickets to the fence at Magic Forest Rainbow Park, and also added concrete pads for picnic tables and additional seating outside the play area.
The South Ormond Neighborhood Center’s splash pad has reopened 10 a.m. to dusk daily, until Dec. 1.
