Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies were busy Tuesday morning serving more than 20 Flagler County residents with arrest warrants following a two-month undercover investigation that identified local drug dealers.
The investigation, dubbed “Operation Spring Cleaning,” involved the Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics Enforcement Team, which was assisted by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents, State Attorney R. J. Larizza’s Office and the Bunnell Police Department.
During the two-month period, undercover law enforcement personnel were able to purchase marijuana, oxycodone and crack cocaine from street dealers in Bunnell, Flagler Beach and Palm Coast. One arrest warrant was obtained for a Deland resident.
“Many of the names on the warrant list may be familiar to local residents,” Flagler County Sheriff Jim Manfre said in a statement. “As long as these folks continue these illegal sales, we will continue to arrest them. This operation has interrupted the local illegal drug scene and more arrests can be expected. We are determined to be a roadblock for this activity in our community.”
