The Flagler County Tourist Development Council kicked off National Travel and Tourism Week a couple days early with the Flagler County 2013 Hospitality Employees Recognition of Excellent Service Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 2, at Hammock Beach Resort.

The H.E.R.O.E.S. program gives special recognition to individuals for their dedicated customer service and commitment to excellence in the tourism industry. Thirty nominees were recognized for going above and beyond their daily responsibilities to ensure that visitors have an outstanding experience in Flagler County.

The H.E.R.O.E.S. award winners are Sky Austin, of Marineland Dolphin Adventure; Anthony Greaves, of Gamble Rogers State Park; Jason Hutsell, of Flagler Fish Co.; Jason Olivares, of Hammock Beach Resort; and Kellie Scribner, of Best Western.
