Double the thieving, double the fun
1:50 p.m. — 1500 Block of Granada Boulevard. Petit theft. The loss-prevention officer witnessed two defendants steal clothing, one person in a backpack and the other in her purse, behind the dressing room.
Both defendants then exited the store without paying, but they were arrested and each given a notice to appear.
It’s unclear if the defendants were working together, as there were two different police reports and they didn’t reference each other.
Poochie party crashers
3:15 p.m. — First Block of Levee Lane. Animal bite. The victim was having a backyard birthday bash for her son when, at about 2:45 p.m., when three poochies crashed the party.
The dogs ran from another home into the party yard, “causing the partygoers to retreat into the house for their safety,” according to reports.
The victim remained outside and was holding her own dog, she told police. Her dog jumped out of her arms and one of the invading dogs rolled on top of it then “was carrying it around the yard in its mouth,” before the victim freed her pet.
The victim later took her dog to the veterinarian, who explaind that her dog had suffered “emotional trauma." The victim was also bitten on her thumb during the incident, but wasn’t sure which dog had done it.
