Signups are underway for the fifth-annual Potato Pageant, a signature event of Bunnell’s Potato Festival. The pageant is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at historic Bunnell City Hall.

Girls between 1 and 10 years are welcome to enter the pageant in the following age categories: Tater Tot, ages 1-3, Potato Princess, ages 4-7 and Miss Potato, ages 8-10. The entry fee is $10 per child and each contestant will receive a participation award.

First place winners in the Potato Princess and Miss Potato categories will receive a sash, tiara and gift from Marineland, and will be asked to participate in the city of Bunnell’s Centennial Parade and the City of Palm Coast’s Starlight Parade. All Tater Tots will receive a tiara, participation award and other gift items.

Contestants should look age appropriate with attire that is simple and classy. The pageant focuses on internal beauty and emphasizes personality, poise and charm.

Applications and entry forms are available at the chamber or at flaglerchamber.org. Forms must be completed and returned to the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 7.
