The Bunnell Chamber of Commerce and the city of Bunnell will pay homage to the potato and Flagler County’s agricultural heritage at the fifth-annual Potato Festival Saturday, May 11.

All proceeds from the Potato Festival go to the chamber’s Business Improvement Grant Program. Grants are awarded to local businesses to offset costs for minor interior or exterior improvements like paint, landscaping or signage.

Admission and parking are free. Call 437-0106.

The schedule of events is as follows:
8-11 a.m. Live music by Tarnished Halo
9:30 a.m. Potato Pageant
11 a.m. Live broadcast of Chamber Chat radio show
11:30 a.m. Potato Sculpting Contest
Noon Dog show — bring your pooch and compete for best in show.
Noon to 4 p.m. Live music by Native Skeeter
12:30 p.m. Mashed potato eating contest
1 p.m. Top Taters & Shakers cook off
1- 3 p.m. Potato games


Relay for Life Flagler
Relay for Life Flagler will take over Town Center on Saturday, May 11, with opening ceremony at 4 p.m. There will be a welcome message from Palm Coast Mayor John Netts and survivor ceremony, with special guest Priscilla Netts, followed by a survivor lap and caretaker lap.

Events will continue all night long and end with a butterfly release 9 a.m. Sunday, May 12. To purchase a luminaria or release a butterfly in memory of a loved one, email [email protected].
