When a real estate agent returned to a listing, she found that her lock box was missing, and the doorknob on the front door was broken off. Upon further inspection of the property, she noticed the washer and dryer that were in the laundry room were disconnected and missing. The dryer was valued at $2,000 and the washer was valued at $1,000. The responding deputy conducted a neighborhood canvas, but the nearby neighbors were unable to give any helpful information.
Stealing for a caffeine fix
3:02 p.m. First Block of Fillmore Lane. Larceny.
A woman reported her he blue Subaru was broken into while she was spending the night at her mother’s house. The unknown person stole $80 in cash and a bottle of caffeine pills. There was no sign of forced entry, and the neighbors could not provide any helpful information.

It's just a carton of cigarettes in my pants, officer
1:39 a.m. Colbert Lane. Narcotics.
A deputy observed and stopped a vehicle that was swerving from the northbound lane into the southbound lane, causing oncoming traffic to have to stop to avoid the collision. The man driving was not suffering any medical condition as the deputy first thought but was having an argument on the cell phone with his girlfriend. The deputy noticed the man had some signs of intoxication and asked the man to perform a sobriety examination and if he had any physical impairment that would prevent the man from completing the test. The man stated he did not have any physical impairments. As the man exited his vehicle, the officer observed a large bulge around the waistband of the man’s pants, where the man stated he had placed a carton of cigarettes. The box was taken and contained three small bags of crack cocaine, which was confirmed by the field test kit.
Hogging the bed
7:59 p.m. First Block of Black Bear Lane. Larceny.
A homeowner reported that at this rented residence, the king-sized bed went missing after he notified the tenants at the time to vacate due to damages caused to the property. A neighbor stated she had seen the former tenant climb through the front living room window and open the front door. The former tenant then exited with the bed and a TV to a truck with another person driving. The deputy attempted to make contact with the driver at his residence; however, once the man was told it was law enforcement, he did not want any contact.

Flirting with trouble
4:13 p.m. 600 Block of Palm Coast Parkway. Shoplifting.
A loss prevention officer reported that a woman had passed all points of sale with a bottle of Flirt perfume. The bottle was found in the back pocket of the woman’s pants, and the total value of the merchandise was $39.50.

Piggy bank robbers
4:58 p.m. First Block of Florida Park Drive. Burglary.
A homeowner reported that his home was broken into through the way of the back sliding glass door. An unknown person had stolen a Sony laptop worth $600. The homeowner also stated that the suspect broke into his 9-year-old daughter’s piggy bank and stole an unknown amount of change. The responding officer performed a neighborhood canvass, and one neighbor reported hearing noise from behind the burglarized house around 2 p.m. but did not see anything.
