2:50 p.m. — 1600 Block of U.S. 1. Fraud. A Florida man told law enforcement he sold his Apple iPhone 4S on Craigslist, and when he met the man, he was paid with counterfeit money.
The victim told police they made the exchange at a gas station, and the man took off in a van before the victim could get his money back.
The four counterfeit $100 bills and two counterfeit $20 bills were placed into evidence.
Talk about airing their dirty laundry ...
11:15 p.m. — First Block of Ridgewood Avenue. Simple or aggravated assault. An Ormond Beach man called dispatch because his roommate was throwing his laundry everywhere.
The officer arrived and made contact with the roommate, who said she was upset because the man had laughed at her for calling the police earlier, in an attempt to have them kick him out of the residence.
He wouldn’t stop laughing, she told police, so she decided the best course of action would be to throw his clothes.
The man told police she grabbed his arm, but he didn’t want to press charges. Police informed the woman how she needed to go about evicting the man.
