A Deltona man was killed early Saturday morning after he was ejected from the car he was a passenger in, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. 

Christina Laming, 41, of Deltona, was driving a 1997 Toyota northbound on U.S. 1, north of Otis Stone Hunter Road, around 1:22 a.m.

Laming drifted onto the grass median for unknown reasons and, in an attempt to regain control, she overcorrected, crossing over both northbound lanes and entered the east shoulder.

Drenner was ejected from the car and trapped under the car in standing water, the report states. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drenner was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report. Alcohol involvement and charges are pending, the report states.
