3:41 p.m. 1000 Block of Justice Lane. Suspicious activity
A man reported he had received mail stating he had changed his bank account information the week prior. The man’s Social Security checks were now going to a new bank in Sioux Falls, S.D., which he did not authorize. The Social Security Administration was informed and a hold was placed on the check.
Cold steal
11:31 a.m. The First Block of Rose Drive. Larceny.
A local real estate agent informed a deputy that the outside air-conditioning unit was stolen. Upon inspection of the property, it was found that the A/C lines were cut and the unit was removed from its concrete slab. The A/C unit is valued at $3,000.

A high-caliber crime
11:25 a.m. The First Block of Buttermill Drive. Larceny.
A victim’s 2007 Dodge Caliber was found burglarized sometime in the early morning. The suspects stole $6 and a PCN Bank checkbook. The suspects apparently entered through the partially rolled down window. There was no evidence of forced entry.

Test driving too hard?
11 a.m. 5000 Block of E. Highway 100. Lost Property.
A deputy responded to a call at a local car dealership where a female employee advised the deputy that three Florida dealer tags were lost. The tags have been missing for two weeks. The employee did not know how the tags were attached to the vehicles and advised the deputy that the tags must have fallen off the vehicles during test drives.

8:33 a.m. First Block of Osceola Avenue. Larceny
The male victim reported that an unknown person stole his Stihl MS290 Farmboss chainsaw. The chainsaw was placed inside the bed of the victim’s truck and covered with an unlocked camper top. The chainsaw is valued at $400.
