The sun came out for the second day of the third-annual Seafood Festival put on by the city of Palm Coast. This was the first year that the festival was free for admission.
“The primary reason is to give our residents and visitors something fun to do,” said Cindi Lane, communications and marketing manager for the city. “Seafood is a natural theme to choose for our community.”
Award-winning 3-D street-painting artists Carolyn Schultz and Zoey Carr created the centerpiece of this year’s festival — a 15-by-15-foot live performance art piece. The piece was sponsored by Marineland Dolphin Adventure.
Lane and event organizer Casey Ryan said that every event is a learning experience for the city and they are always looking for ways to improve their community outreach.
