Flagler Palm Coast guard Princess William dropped 22 points, and the Lady Bulldogs (3-0) knocked off Pine Ridge, 65-30, Monday night.
FPC held a 30-19 halftime lead and didn’t look back, outscoring the Lady Panthers 35-7 in the second half. Pine Ridge only scored two points in the third quarter.
Williams added one assist, three steals and one rebound. Ivana Boyd tallied 15 points, three assists, seven steals and two rebounds.
FPC also drained four 3-pointers.
Flagler Falcons Jr. Midgets advance to regional semifinals
And then there was one.
The Flagler Falcons Jr. Midgets football team defeated the St. Cloud Bulldogs, 19-0, on Saturday. The team now advances to play the Jensen Beach Falcons in the regional semifinals 2 p.m. Saturday, at Deltona High School.
The Jr. Midgets are now two wins away from advancing to the national championships, which are held at Disney. However, this is the round the same team lost in two years ago as Jr. Pee Wees (to Port St. Lucie).
The Jr. Midgets is the only Flagler Falcons team still alive in the playoffs now.
The Jr. Pee Wee team lost to the West Orange Wildcats, 14-0, and were eliminated.
Palm Coast Elks hosts annual Hoop Shoot contest
The Palm Coast Elks Hoop Shoot took place Nov. 16.
Female winners include Avery Binkley (8-9 years old), Viviana Rodrigues (10-11 years old) and Hope Hodges (12-13 years old).
Male winners include Karl Knighton (8-9 years old), Tim McGuire (10-11 years old) and Jonathan Tyler (12-13 years old).
All six advance to the East Central District Championships, which will take place Jan. 11, at Seminole High School, in Sanford.
Boys soccer: FPC falls to Spruce Creek, 3-2
Flagler Palm Coast surrendered two first-half goals to Spruce Creek en route to a 3-1 loss on Nov. 13.
FPC’s Nate Monsanto scored two late goals to bring FPC within striking distance, but the Bulldogs (4-1, 0-1 District 2-5A) couldn't net the equalizer.
Monsanto leads all scorers with eight goals and six assists. Stanley Joseph has tallied six goals and five assists.
