The 11th-annual Home Run for Hospice golf tournament raised $25,000 for the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House at Florida Hospital Flagler this year.

The event, held Sept. 16 at the Links Course at Hammock Dunes, drew 23 teams of golfers, according to a news release from Florida Hospital HospiceCare. The winning team scored 100 points and consisted of Jim Knight, Jeremy Mille, Drew Pettengill, Henry Reid and Ron Sharp.

"This is a tremendous gesture by the community,” Florida Hospital HospiceCare Administrative Director Rema Cole said. “Support from the community is vital to our organization and we are extremely grateful for the support.”

The Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, on the Florida Hospital Flagler campus in Palm Coast, offers respite, acute, home health and continuous care, and is the only Flagler County hospice to offer all four services, according to the news release. It has eight beds and opened in 2007.
