The feeling of Flagler Beach’s First Friday Music in the Park event was a little more rhythmic Friday night. With all vendor booths moved to Central Avenue, the new set-up allowed for more of a concert focus.

The October event was the first event presented with the city of Flagler Beach’s new partnership with Flagler Broadcasting’s Beach 92.7. Flagler Beach City Manager Bruce Campbell and David Ayres, general manager and vice president of Flagler County Broadcasting, believe the combination will breathe new life into the monthly event. Brady Media Inc. was also brought in to organize a kid’s zone.

Tunes from The Swanky Mo’s Soul Band & Revue and the sunny, breezy Florida weather drew in approximately 1,000 people for the event, which also included raising of the Pink Army flag in Veterans Park.
