The annual fall festival has become "a community tradition," according to organizer Ron Nowviskie.

Prince of Peace Catholic Church, at 600 S. Nova Road, held its 45th-annual Octoberfest last week under fair skies and temperatures in the 80s, as local crowds enjoyed a colorful midway with a variety of rides along with food and live music.
The event was rained out two years ago but it’s coming back strong, said organizer Ron Nowviskie.
“We usually get (30,000) to 40,000 people over the four days,” he said. “It’s become a community tradition after 45 years.”
Money raised from the festival benefits the church.
