Cats were the main theme behind the 2013 Fur Ball, which raised funds for Flagler Cats and also celebrated the nonprofit’s 10 years of serving the community.

Flagler Cats, founded by Mari Molina, is dedicated to enacting ethical, non-lethal and effective polices to reduce feral cat populations by executing the trap, neuter, return policy.

The organization plans to open a new 1,600-square-foot facility in the beginning of next year that will feature a clinic and a center for cats. There is also a plan to open another, larger center in 2014.
