Twelve targets lined the grassy field on the back end of Town Center on Saturday morning. An archer stood 60 yards in front of each, ready to fire. More than 30 participants were in attendance at the archery event, the first of four events that Palm Coast will host during the 30th-annual Ormond Beach Senior Games.

This is the first time Palm Coast has partnered with Ormond Beach to host events in the games and Palm Coast Events Coordinator Casey Ryan said she is excited for the exposure that this will give for all the recreation areas in Palm Coast.

Other events being held in Palm Coast this week are ballroom dancing — cha cha, waltz, East coast swing and rumba — 6 p.m. Oct. 30, at the Flagler Auditorium, 5500 State Road 100; horseshoe singles, 9 a.m. Oct. 31, at Old Dixie Community Park, 1250 S. Dixie Highway, Bunnell; and powerlifting — bench press, squat, deadlift — 8 a.m. Nov. 2, at Matanzas High School, 3535 Old Kings Road N.
