Sept. 7

Say it, don’t spray it

2:43 p.m. — The 10 block of Bear Tooth Path. Civil Complaint. The complainant's neighbor knocked on her front door and demanded she remove her newly planted small orange tree, she says, because the neighbor’s oleander needs 20 feet for root growth. After making the demand, the neighbor turned and started walking away. The complainant said, “Let’s talk.” But the neighbor responded: “I have heard the stories about you … and you trying to be Christian.”

A similar incident happened the same morning. The neighbor knocked on the door with measuring tape in her hand and told her to remove all her trees because they were on her property. She had marked her claimed property with spray paint.

The complainant documented the incidents in case her neighbor’s actions escalate.

Sept. 8

Out on the prowl ... with coins

6:50 a.m. — 300 Block of River Bluff Drive. Suspicious Person. A resident told police than on the way to get the newspaper she saw a white male in dark clothing and carrying a bag standing in her driveway by her vehicle. Once the man saw her, he began quickly walking away. The officer made contact with the suspect on another street and he said he was lost in the subdivision and trying to find his way out. He said the previous night he was at a nightclub with a friend and then spent the night at her house in that subdivision. The officer asked the location of the house and the suspect only could say it was a beige house with a silver car in front.

The suspect was carrying a shopping bag with a large amount of coins and a female’s watch. He said he had the coins since the previous night at the club. The police drove the suspect around for 30 minutes and he could not find the house. The suspect was then arrested for prowling.

The victim said he could provide the suspect’s name at a later date and wanted to press charges.
