Tomblin Financial Group to open Ormond branch
Tomblin Financial Group, of Raymond James, plans to remodel then open its newest branch office early next year, in the building at 194 E. Granada Blvd. Owner Brooks Tomblin, of Ormond Beach, says that he has always wanted to have an office in that location and that his design has already been approved by Ormond MainStreet.
“We want to be part of the community,” he said. “That’s the heart of Ormond beachside.”
The company’s main office is on Seabreeze Boulevard, in Daytona Beach, and will remain open. Tomblin will relocate to the new office along with three employees.
Intracoastal Bank earns eighth straight five-star
Bauer Financial Inc. rated Intracoastal Bank, which is building a new office near Ormond Beach, on Williamson Boulevard, a five-star "superior" rating based upon its financial condition as of the second quarter, which ended June 30. This marks the eighth consecutive quarter that Intracoastal has earned this distinction.
Based in Palm Coast, the bank's new office is scheduled to open in 2015.
Halifax Health names new chief, offers new service
Ann Martorano, previously serving as chief human resources and marketing officer of the Halifax Health system, has been hired as the company's new chief operating officer. Martorano was also the administrator of the Halifax Health — Medical Center of Port Orange.
The heath system has also added $99 low dose CT lung screenings to its service list, for patients who have smoked tobacco products for 20 years or more. Studies show that these types of scans are more effective at detecting cancerous lung masses than standard radiographic chest x-rays, according to Halifax Health.
