Matanzas High School has hired a teacher to replace James Wolfe, the former Matanzas education and cross-country/track coach who faces charges of having sex with a student.
Dr. Chris Pryor, principal at Matanzas, said Wednesday that the school has hired Charles Miller to take over Wolfe’s English 3 classes. Pryor said Miller, who comes from Pennsylvania, could begin as early as next week.
Wolfe was arrested Aug. 17 for allegedly having sex with a student between 2010 and 2011. The student was 16 years old at the time. Wolfe was 28.
Wolfe pleaded not guilty on Sept. 4 to seven counts of having unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to documents filed with the Flagler County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Wolfe posted $140,000 bond and was released from the Flagler County Inmate Facility two days after his arrest.
No other court dates have been set.
