A Palm Coast man was arrested Friday on drug charges, bonded out of jail, and was arrested again the next day. Now he’s out again on bond.
Michael Lee Marsh, 30, was arrested Friday after law enforcement officers entered his home and found a meth lab in the bedroom of the house at 6 Raeitan Way, according to a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
The Palm Coast Fire Department and Flagler County Fire Rescue secured the area before law enforcement officers from the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit and SWAT searched it. The county emergency helicopter, FireFlight, circled overhead.
Emergency personnel decontaminated five people found inside the home and arrested Marsh, according to the news release. He was charged with manufacturing or possessing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“Our investigators followed up on information they received and were able to shut this operation down,” Sheriff Jim Manfre said in a statement. “It’s my belief that similar operations exist in our county, and, as we identify them, we will be moving in to shut them down and arrest those involved in the operation.”
Marsh was booked at the Flagler County jail and released on $5,500 bond.
But it didn’t take him long to find his way back.
The next day, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to check out a suspicious vehicle at 37 Leaver Drive, a vacant property that had been repossessed.
There was a beige 2007 Mercury Milan in the driveway with three people inside, and it started to pull away as the deputy's car approached, according to an arrest affidavit.
The car was stopped, and the deputy found pills and a cigarette lighter laid out on the dashboard.
Marsh was inside with two other people, Virdell Myers, 28 and Amber Troha, 19.
Deputies searched Marsh and found a hypodermic needle in his pocket. Myers had a baggie with hydrocodone and alprazolam in his pocket. Troha had a hypodermic needle and a vial with white residue in her purse. None of the three had a prescription for any of the pills.
All three were arrested on drug charges and loitering and were booked at the Flagler County jail.
Marsh was released on $1,500 bond.
