Matanzas' Lindsay Sanchez, a junior, and Sara Komanowski, a senior, were both named to All-County golf teams Monday after competing in the Volusia/Flagler 18-hole golf tournament.
Sanchez shot an 86, good enough to earn First-Team All-County. Komanowski shot a 91 and was named to Second-Team All-County.
Cassandra Vincent, a freshman playing in her first 18-hole tournament, shot a 119.
Because Matanzas has just three golfers, the team can’t actually win events. (Teams are required to have four golfers.)
When Matanzas competes in matches, the golfers are playing to get the requirements for districts as individuals.
