A Palm Coast man was arrested Wednesday morning after investigators with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and SWAT served a search warrant at 129 Pine Grove Drive, in Palm Coast.
The warrant was obtained following an investigation into suspected illegal narcotics activity at the residence.
SWAT team members moved in around 8 a.m. Wednesday and made entry into the home. Investigators escorted three people outside — a middle-aged woman and two young children — while they detained the parents of the children inside the home. Investigators located crack cocaine, cannabis and various prescription medications in unlabeled prescription bottles inside a bedroom in the home.
Investigators arrested John Lorenzo Johnson, 32, of 129 Pine Grove Drive. Johnson is the father of the children. He was charged him with possession of crack cocaine, possession of prescription pills, possession of cannabis under 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Johnson was transported without incident to the Flagler County Inmate Facility where he was initially held and later released after posting $11,000 bond.
“It is disturbing to me that these children were living in this home and may have been exposed to the dangers often associated with illegal narcotics use and possession,” Sheriff Jim Manfre said in a statement. “Our Investigators have contacted the Department of Children and Families and advised them of the situation, and we have asked them to conduct an investigation to ensure that the children are safe.”
